Amazing Grace

We sang one of my favorite songs today at church, Amazing Grace.  My absolute favorite version is by the Daraja Children's Choir of Africa.  I first heard this song while at Catalyst last fall.  The choir was there and sang it along with several other songs.  At this point in our lives, we were making the decision to adopt. As I saw their brown faces and heard their voices, I could not help but cry.  All of the choir are orphans from Kenya.  Please take a few minutes and visit their website

During this Easter week, please remember the grace that God has given us, all of us.  Even those of us who do not realize it.  Even those who do not want it.  Even those of us who would rather have other worldly things. His grace is all we need.

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
