We colored our eggs this morning!
Last night, I attended the Good Friday service at our church. We viewed the Passion of the Christ, had praise and worship as well as communion. It was a very powerful service. I am glad to be reminded of the suffering that Jesus went through for me. It is heartbreaking, hard to watch and most of all humbling. How am I worthy of His love? How am I worthy of all the pain that He went through?
While taking communion, images of Rwanda flooded my mind. What started out as a prayer of thanksgiving for what He did on the cross flowed into prayers of thanksgiving for our little one in Rwanda. How lucky are we to be able to know this little soul. How lucky are we that God choose us to be their parents. I look forward to next Easter when our little one is home.
On the drive home, I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin was on the radio. This is one of my new favorite songs. The words are appropriate for where I am in my life right now. Mold me, use me, tell me where to go....
